Stair Makeover

If only I had a pic of the hideous carpet that was on the stairs! Well, I did try to ignore it for many years and once the floors got done I had to somehow make them look better! I mean this was a vast improvement!! I started with paint. The kind that is for flooring, porches etc and because the stairs where built with cheap wood that they intended to carpet paint alone was not cutting it. So, I found this runner that is the same design with a more muted color pallet at Bargain Hunt for $15. I thought why not give it a whirl! Pulled out my trusty nail gun and went to work! It’s held up great and I still love it! Talk about an inexpensive solution!! I’m all about designing on a dime!
