Updated: Mama B is the sweetest Gran to my favorite 4 yr old twins, Jake & Maggie, (now in 5th grade!) Mama B is also great cook and she was telling me about this amazing salad that I thought would be a great addition to our Thanksgiving meal! This months Cooking with Ms. Kat is an APPLE theme! It goes along great with last weeks field trip to Apple Hill Orchard. And I thought it would be something fun to do with the pre schoolers. I tinkered with this recipe for several days and after several batches I found what I think is YUMMY, super simple, and most importantly something that pre school kids can do and that is what it’s all about, getting the kids involved!

These are the adorable, if I do say so myself, Monkey Cupcakes! I made for Little J’s 1st Birthday! also made a cake just for the birthday boy! I found an amazing cookbook, The Whimsical Bakehouse. They have great ideas. I made a Banana Pound Cake with chocolate frosting. Banana Cake & Cupcakes 1 box Pound Cake Mix 2 eggs 1/3 c milk 1 banana, mashed Mix everything together and bake until a toothpick comes clean.
